850 cubic meters of concrete to hold 20,000,000 litres of water….wow!

Multiple time-lapse camera’s were deployed and filmed the latest project for The Logan Water Alliance. The 20ML Reservoir project will service growing South-West Logan suburbs New Beith and Flagstone, predicted to serve a future population of up to 120,000 people.

Inception Time-Lapse were on board with many fixed units, along with the *New Robotic Dolly Time-Lapse System* on the ground to capture an indepth construction view of the Reservoir Panel erection and the massive Roof structure. Sections of the remote 4.5km pipeline have also be captured with solar powered cameras to be intergrated into a Final 10 minute Time-lapse Corporate video documenting the growing project for the Alliance.

The project was planned, designed and delivered by Logan Water Alliance partners
• Allconnex Water, Tenix , Parsons Brinckerhoff, and Cardno.
In association with Reservoir design and construction contractor
• Stirloch Constructions
and pipeline constructor
• Georgio.

This huge colaboration of teamwork involves some pretty impressive staticstics. Let me share a few to raise a few eyebrows.

• 850 cubic meters of concrete in reservoir
• Holding Volume = 20,000,000 litres of water to potentially supply 120,000 people.
• 45,000 m3 of rock removed from reservoir site, 15,000 m3 of rock removed from access road
• 48 Precast panels weighing 20,050kg each make the circular Resevoir.
• 17 Post-tension tendons in wall @ 157m long each with total of 98 strands in wall.
• 66 Post-tension tendons and a total of 330 Strands in floor.
• Total length of post-tensioning strands in tank is 27,000mtrs jacked to 130 tonnes of pressure!
• 20,000 man hours worked on pipeline, 15,000 man hours on Resevoir
• 121 machines used on site
• 4 creeks crossing undertaken with minimal environmental impact in the 4.5km pipeline.
• 4 cameras and 100,000 Time-lapse images captured.

WOW Now that’s impressive….
