One of the first construction time-lapse video’s I was commissioned to produce, was back in 2009 for the Sunshine Coast Regional councils new 10ML Water Reservoir, located at BLI BLI.
Stirloch Constructions who design and construct many large scale water projects like this, were very keen to have me on board to document this project. It was presented to the Sunshine Coast Regional Council’s Water and Resource Dept and affiliated Board members, with a great response. Filming took place over 3-4days to capture essentially an easy understanding, of how the Reservoir project, all came together. Back in 2009, this was the first video of its kind that I know of, to take construction time-lapse in general, to a whole new level by involving “ground time-lapse photography” The new shooting style we discovered, was by using a similar approach to how we would film a normal corporate video? Simple, find great angles that would edit together well, to tell the story in an educational way.
Stirloch Constructions were extremely pleased with the final Video and custom DVD package and have since employed Inception Time-Lapse to be involved on many more of their future projects. Since then, we have continually stepped up the level of quality and production value in each and every video. Always searching for the best camera angles and engaging the latest Time-lapse camera equipment. This dedicated approach is very beneficial, to tell the story of the construction process, in a much more informative way.
Here at Inception Time-Lapse we are continually breaking new ground on a regular basis, always looking at ways we can add more production value to our clients great projects. Another creative landmark achievement at the start of this year, was the introduction of the “*New Time-lapse Robotic dolly system”. This is now proudly implemented on every job we are involved with. The new system has been imported from the U.S.A and delivers exceptional results as seen on all of our latest construction movies and in particular the Hyundai i30 car commercials shown on the projects page. This is when I originally purchased the state of the art system, and put it to work achieving some absolutely amazing results for the production and Hyundai… the rest is history.
You never know, If it’s the latest and greatest camera equipment or movie effect, there is a sporting chance I may be using it to film YOUR next project. Now that does sound exciting doesn’t it…
