What’s big ,black and tough? A VOLVO FH16 Truck… wooohhh
My skills as an advertising photographer gave me some great opportunities to shoot some cool, “BIG BOYS TOYS” every now and then. When the opportunity came up to pitch on shooting the latest range of VOLVO Trucks in the studio for Clemenger BBDO… I literally jumped at the chance! This was a BIG, impressive 3 day shoot, in a full cyclorama studio with nothing but Cool Big Trucks to photograph. I was like a little 5 year old kid again with a brand new truck going oooohhh, woooww ,look at this! As I sat in the drivers seat, arm out like a big tough Truckie…Or so I thought. Ha!
But Honestly, these beautiful Machines were a pleasure to photograph. The sheer size and sleek European styling that has been integrated in to these massive powerhouse Rigs is extremely impressive. I found some beautiful lines and features to photograph and really enjoyed the shoot.
I have a mate who drives trucks for a living, I mentioned to him I was shooting this job over a beer one night . His reaction was,
” WOAR!! VOLVO! Their the ducks nuts of Trucks mate. Those automatic transmissions are easier to shift and probably more comfortable to drive than the Miss’s Barina,… Nice. Yep, Ill have to take his word on that one. Here’s a more professional opinion from Volvo.
